GREAT SERVICE-PITY ABOUT DEALER PRINCIPAL'S ATTITU

I arrived back from abroad to find that my car would not start. I called Sandown Northcliff and was advised to contact the call centre so that I could get a authorisation code issued. Bongani at the call centre was fantastic. I had told him that I needed to be at a meeting in Pretoria at 09h30 and desperately needed my car to function. Approx 5 minutes later I got a call from Tryon at Merc Benz Northcliff to let me know that a technician had been dispatched to attend to my problem. Granted that my office is less than 1km away from the dealership but not long after Reegan the technician arrived and sorted out my problem. Reegan was really great and really helpful and I was able to get to my appointment on time.
I called the dealership to thank Tryon for ensuring that I was assisted timeously. I can't say the same about the dealer principal Shawn van der Merwe. I called him to let him know that he has great staff but the lady screening his calls advised that he was on a personal call and and after holding on for a while she came back to say that he did not have time to attend to frivolous matters. Making the DP know that he has great staff is hardly frivolous. Zero stars to the DP.
