I received an email from a certain Melinda Schoeman saying that she had looked over my CV and asked if I was interested in working shifts in a call center for a low wage. With a masters degree in economics, I was more than a little surprised by this given that it didn't match up to my skills or qualifications. I responded firstly thanking her but then went on to say that I was looking for something more in line with my skills and qualifications and that I was curious to know why she thought working in a call center would be good fit for me. She responded with some poorly thought out noise about 'business acumen' and 'communication skills' without making any reference to my CV, so I emailed her back asking the same question, how does my CV fit this job? The following afternoon someone else called (Ashley or Tracy) asking if I had given it some thought. I told her I was not interested because it didn't suit my qualifications. She responded with a barrage of comments that were completely out of line;"you've had life too easy... bad attitude... disrespected the company... smartass"Work is certainly hard to find but I would avoid using these unprofessional and ill-trained recruiters.
