I supplied my services and was not paid

Good day. I did a make up job for Unparalled Magazine on satruday the 8th of June 2013.Firstly I was picked up two hours late. The agreement was that I would get paid half on completion of the job (R1000) and half month end. The faulty party has been lying to me and his cheques were bad. They bounced twice. He refuses to pay me. Even though I have done my work. I have two witnesses that can attest to this. I'm frustrated. I need to pay rent. This is unprofessional and unacceptable! Please help me. I want my wages. I did my job.
