A R500 fee entitles you to interview nannies, until you find one you are happy with... Upon trying out, and being happy with the nanny of your choice, a R1000 placement fee must be paid to Nanny Maids. I paid the R500, conducted interviews, chose a nanny and paid the R1000 placement fee. The nanny failed to pitch up for her first day at work. I then selected another nanny. She too failed to pitch up for her first day.By this time I had run out of patience and had been forced to make alternate arrangements for my baby. I declined choosing another candidate and asked for my R1000 to be refunded as nobody was in fact placed at my house. Nonto, the owner began making excuses. Upon arriving at the agency, she left without speaking to me. Her employees advised me that she was confusing me with another client that was having issues with them. Upon clarifying my issue, she then said she could not make a full refund as she was withholding costs for the criminal checks performed on the candidates. It is not my problem that they paid for checks on irresponsible individuals. The R1000 was a placement fee-nobody was placed with me! I want my full refund back-schemers!
