As it was the big Soweto derby today, Theo (Indian) and I (Black) decided we were going to watch the game together. We ended up @The Slug and Lettuce Pub in Rivonia. We got there, ordered our drinks and watched the game. In the 66th minute of the BIG GAME, the manager (Daniel) came to TELL us that he was going to change the soccer game on all 5 TV screens to the rugby, suffice to say that this was with the influence and intervention of a white gentleman who stated that he was there to watch the rugby. We questioned and why we couldn't watch the soccer game on 1 screen as we didn't mind sharing and we are PAYING CUSTOMERS, we were told that rugby took priority there. A group of 4 black men that questioned this were thrown out like dogs and Tactical Response (security company) was contacted, these men were drinking there and were entitled to what they wanted as customers. We had to pay our bills and leave even though it was not by choice. The waiter, whose name I cannot mention in fear of getting him fired since he is black, apologised and tried to amend the situation, but it was too late. This is a institution and the management allows it without question. DISGRACE
