Most, if not all, partners of Groupon use the service to promote their business and try to attract new clients/diners who may, through a positive experience, be persuaded to revisit the establishment at full price.
When we went to use our voucher yesterday, as expected, it was rejected. Groupon had inadvertently cancelled the coupon and had written to us acknowledging the error and undertaking to honour the discount - we were just to show the restaurant the letter.
Scrooge Diner Brightwater Common refused point blank. We asked to see the owner, who cowardly refused to engage us - hiding in the kitchen or somewhere.
We will get a refund from Groupon, but will never darken the doors of that establishment again.
Think you lost the plot here, Scrooge. No surprise that you are also listed as a company that does not respond, nor that the eateries around you were all busy and yours was deserted.
