My husband and I recently moved to Cape Town from Johannesburg. Doppio Zero was one of our favourite restaurant chains in Jo'burg, so when we heard there was one in Cape Town we were really excited to enjoy a good meals as we had ALWAYS done in Jo'burg. But this was not the case.
The menu said the restaurant served Brewers&Union beer, which my husband ordered & was told they don't actually serve it. I ordered the Iced Coffee on the menu and was told they don't make it! Already quite annoyed, we chose other drinks.
We both knew what we wanted to order, the Pollo Di San Paolo was a firm favourite, so when our drinks arrived we ordered it, and guess what... there was no haloumi cheese!!
What is going on here? Why do you not have anything that is on your menu? This was an extremely poor experience, and we ended up finishing our drinks and eating elsewhere. We weren't in the mood to go through to menu to see what else wasn't available.
It is a poor reflection of the brand, and we will sadly never visit the restaurant again.
