I recently invested my life savings into this Fish & Chip co franchise store... It was the worst investment ive ever made and basically lost my entire R400 000 investment.
The Fish & Chip co head office has no sense of support and lack the efficient communication channels needed to successfully operate a franchise store. I purchased an existing store where false information was given about the stores financial turnover. Within a 6 month period we received 2 visits from the headoffice after requesting their assistance on more than 20 occasions. For example it took us 3 months to get new uniforms for our staff..
With the lack of support & care we were forced to shut the business down and now still owe them royalties of 5000 a month for a store that was running in a loss..
They are quick to hand you over to their legal department, but are not quick to support your store.
This was the worst investment ive ever made and wouldn't recommend this franchise to anyone.. Stay clear of this business and their new owners.
