Myself and 2 friends went to Karoo in Irene. We ordered a garlic bread and when it arrived it was green with mould all over. We complained to the manager and all he had to say is that he is sorry and that he doesn't know what to say. We told him that we also don't know what to say.
He offered us another garlic bread but we waited so long for the first that we said that they should rather bring us the mains.
The manager then gave us 'complimentary biltong' that was off. You could clearly see a white mould/salt on the meat and when we told the manager that his biltong was off he replied with " Se, daar's geen manier nie..." I showed him the biltong and asked if he would eat it and he again apologised and walked away.
Specialising in meat you'd think that the steaks would be done correctly. I ordered a medium-rear steak and when I received the steak it was medium to well.
This was a very bad experience for us. My wife and myself ate at the same restaurant in October last year and said that the food and service is way below par. It is only because our friend from Mozambique made the choice that we sat there. The SPOILED food and bad management was the last straw!
