A friend and I went for a bite to eat and some wine after a movie. We arrived after 8 and the restaurant was nearly empty. We ordered wine and some pizza.By 9pm the music was turned off, and we were the only patrons left. We ordered another glass of wine, and were immeadiately presented with the bill without asking for it, or being offered coffee/dessert. We were told the manager was cashing up. I asked that the music be put on until we were fininshed with out drinks, this did not happen. We felt we had to leave and finished our drinks quickly. I complained to the owner Andrew at the shocking service (by management only, the food and waiter service was good). He was non-plussed, un-apologetic and rude. I lost my temper at his lack of response or interest in my complaint. This is a new restaurant and unfortunately I will not go back if this is how the owner treats customers by closing up shop at 9pm on a Wednesday evening, not bothering to ask how our meal/service was and dismissing my complaint.
