The Mount is one of our favourite restaurants and we dine there regularly. As my wife does not drink wine, I normally order a glass of red wine with my meal and select either a pinotage, shiraz or merlot. Last night when ordering, I was told that the only red wine available by the glass was cabernet which I find too heavy and not to my liking. As always, the meal and service was excellent but not being able to have a selected glass of wine spoilt my evening. I trust management will reconsider this unacceptable situation as I would not like to cross The Mount off my list of prefered restaurants.
