We celebrated our 7year anniversary at Villa Bianca tonight, with great disappointment. We were refused proper wine glasses after our bottle of Backsburg wine cost a mere R190, and not the R200 necessary to qualify for proper wine glasses. We were left with normal water glass to enjoy our wine, less than the standards set. There is a reason why wine lovers enjoy their wine in the proper wine glasses, reasons oblivious to management of Villa Bianca. Why a restaurant would set standards like this, only they would know, for people who enjoy a regular restaurant meal to receive service of this nature is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. And when we shared our grievances with the hostess, we were surprised to see that she carried on answering the phone, obviously unaware of the seriousness of the grievance. She also failed to get the attention of the manager to discuss the grievance. Hostess failed to operate the credit card machine, and had to retry several times. Villa Bianca might as well change their name to a common chain franchise, as their is nothing unique and fine about the dining experience we received. Very disappointing, we won't be dining with Villa Bianca again.
