When we arrived for lunch yesterday there was nobody to greet us at the door. We waited around aimlessly for a while and then decided to find our own table. After seating ourselves the hotstess/manager bolted over to our table and said that another customer in the non-existent "queue" in front of us wanted our table. Bear in mind that there were at least four empty tables surrounding us and that we did not take a table with a view. We were more than happy to move, but the hostess/manager launched into a monologue about how we "bypassed the system", "were supposed to wait" and "that her job is to seat us." We were not even greeted before receiving a speech from her. We were not even given the opportunity to state that she was not present when we walked in, that we had still had the decency to wait before seating ourselves and that we were happy to move. When we got up to move the person who supposedly wanted the table gestured that it was no problem for us to remain seated. The hostess/manager referrred to him as "babes" so we can only assume that she was trying to make an arrangement for a personal friend. We decided not to stay and went elsewhere for a fantastic lunch.
