It is so disheartening to see a brand name company go downhill so fast. Being a Knysna resident and avid coffee drinker I support our local coffee shops every single morning..nothing better to start your day with a friendly face and a warm cup of coffee. Well this doesn't happen at Mugg and Bean in Knysna Mall. Upon opening in the mall you literally had to run to get an open seat/table. You were greeted with a friendly face and always had a full cup of Mugg and Beans famously advetised bottomless coffee. The owner was never shy to greet his patrons and got to know the locals by name (locals are the ones really keeping doors open). Once new ownership took over this went downhill veryfast. Such a pity to see that such a warm friendly place built up and friendships made by previous owner Ricky and manager Chansa had built up, broken down so quickly. Most of Knysna locals had left and now supporting other establishments where they will not be left with an empty mugg for more than 25 mins, where you dont have to send 'smoke signals' to get the attention of a waitress. Your locals are your daily bread and butter owners.
