Horrible food and failure to respond to complaint

On our way back to JHB on 8 August we stopped for lunch at the Soaring Hawk Spur at Cape Town International Airport. Both my husband and I ordered a Spur burger with a side salad. When the food arrived, we were horrified at the condition of the 'garnish' on the plate - it was an old slimy slice of tomato and waxy onion ring on the top bun - I don't think they understand the function of a garnish... to ENHANCE in appearance by adding decorative touches or embellishments to food. As we were in a hurry we both just pushed it aside to eat - and as I was about to tuck in, I noticed a piece of plastic sticking out as well. Also, our salads were quite 'sad' looking and the jug containing the salad dressing was chipped and filthy dirty!

I decided to bring the manager's attention to the situation - after which they sorted out the food and brought us fresh plates. It looked delicious, and it was. But the thing that I cannot understand is why we don't get this type of delicious food in the first place??? It is however what you are paying for?!

I have complained on the Spur website TWICE already, with NO reply whatsoever. Wish I could upload the images here.

Seriously disappointed!
