I am so disgusted with Milky Lane Clearwater. Besides the absolutely shoddy state of the store (dirty tables, ripped booth seats), when walking in there this morning at 09:10, I was told that the store was not yet open, and I could not be helped. When I pointed out that the store hours are from 09:00 am, I was told that some of the "things" are not yet ready. I asked how long these "things" would take to be ready, and I was told 20 to 30 minutes! So in other words, the store will be operational at 09:40. When I mentioned that this was unacceptable, I was told "Well, then talk to my manager", and said waiter turned around and walked off.
My daughter had been looking forward to going to the Milky Lane during her holidays for literally weeks. I was so furious that she was let down. Thankfully THE SPUR downstairs was more than happy to attend to us and serve her a waffle.
Effectively we were turned away from the store, which makes no sense in today's economic climate. Clearly Milky Lane is making a fortune that they can afford to open whenever they see fit. Or judging by the shoddy state of the store, perhaps not...
