I had a very disappointing experience at Quay Four in Cape Town. On the weekend of the Cape Argus, friends and I enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. The restaurant was advertising a special which was running at the time, being that if you ordered a Castle Rocket, you would receive a Castle sponsored rugby ball. Based on the promotional posters, which were displayed throughout the restaurant, we ordered 2 Castle Rockets as we wanted 2 of the rugby. The waiter took our order and happily delivered our Castle Rockets. On leaving the restaurant, we requested our 2 rugby, only to be told that they had no stock!!! Surely they should have told us that when we ordered? We questioned why the restaurant didn't then remove the posters, but the staff weren't very helpful and really didn't seem to care. I feel that this is misleading advertising and that the promotion should not have been on offer. I phoned both the manager & SA Breweries afterwards to complain and was told that this would be addressed, but after numerous phone calls, nothing has been done. I feel that if they advertise a special promotion, they should at least be able to deliver on what is being advertised!
