Early last month (May2013) I called the restaurant on a friends recommendation to have my birthday lunch at Villa Bianca. I spoke to Lisa who assisting me with making the reservation, upon confirming the cost she stated it would be R120.00 per person. I then confirmed the reservation for 10 people. I called a week later to confirm the price as Father's day falls on June 16 this year and I was aware that for Mother's day the Sunday buffet price was R180.00 per person and not R120.00, just to be sure Lisa again confirmed the price at R120.00 per person. Upon calling to inform that my guest list has now risen to 18 people I spoke to Lisa once more and the price of R120.00 per person was confirmed once again (a week ago).
Now today, 13.06 I got a call from Lisa to confirm the booking for 18 people on Sunday at R169 per person. MY GOODNESS. I find this highly unprofessional to call me 3 days before my function to inform me of this price increase, I will now need to pay an additional R900to accommodate my guests, which I am not prepared to pay. Why was this not communicated to me beforehand considering I made this reservation over a month ago! And 3 times verified the price.
