Mcdonalds
False advertising and hygiene

I went to McDonald's Hatfield, Burnett street, on the evening of the 30th of May (2013). I ordered a Happy meal - cheese burger - and requested an orange juice as my drink included in the meal. A poster up on the wall advertised a happy meal for R25 and with an orange juice R2.50 is added to that price. The lady behind the counter did, however, ask me to pay R30 for my meal. I asked her to provide me with a reason as to why I have to pay R30 instead of R27.50 and she said that a happy meal with an orange juice increases the price to R30. I refused to pay the amount as it is my right to pay according to what is advertised. The lady called the manager and he disagreed with me as well and told me that the price is R30. I refused to pay that once again & the manager left without any further comments. The lady continued to help the next customer without even telling me whether or not something will be done about this or not and VERY rudely replied upon my question of my order being placed, that it's not her fault. I repeated several times that I am aware of that. In addition to the above scenario, the kitchen staff handled frozen food with bare hands when placing it in the fryer.
