My family and I recently visited Spur Fordsburg in celebration of Mother's Day on 12 May 2013. As expected, the restaurant was extremely busy. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table and were welcomed by Catherine upon arrival. Previously, my family have been reluctant to eat at Spur due to bad experiences we've had in the past i.e. underdone steaks, long waiting times, incorrect orders etc. On this occasion, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the excellent service. We were so ecstatic about the quality of the food that we did not mind getting dessert menus as placemats, receiving our hot drinks on side plates etc. It was actually quite funny. We understood the capacity constraints of the restaurant given the occasion. Our sincere thanks go out to Catherine and the management of Spur Fordsburg for a wonderful mother's day.
