I bought a voucher on Groupon to have breakfast at the Deli@The Square for 6 people for my birthday.

I booked 3 weeks in advance for 11/5 and spoke to Alex. 2 days later I phoned and changed the booking to 12/5 and spoke to a different male who assured me its in order.

I then went on holiday and arranged with my friends to meet me at the Deli at 10:00 on 12/5. On the morning of 12/5 I phoned to check that my booking was still in place and Alex told me there's a problem as they will close at 11:00 to prepare for the Mothers day buffet starting at 12:00 and that he has no knowledge of my booking.

He phoned the manager Andre Smith who said we could come but had to leave at 11:00. I could not get hold of of all my friends to cancel so I went ahead with my plans.

I'm sure I spoke to the manager about changing the date to 12/5 and suddenly he has no knowledge of this. At 11:00 we were asked if we were finished and we had to leave. We had no choice, we were inconvenienced because we were still chatting.

We had to rush breakfast due to the supplier's lack of internal communication and it ruined the day for me. Compliments to Alex who apologised instead of his manager.
