I went to the spur with my brother on Wednesday, last week, (public holiday was worker's day and it was he's birthday the next day!)
I ordered 3 ribs and chips portions (One was take away) with a calamari starter, a milkshake a coke and a coffee and a waffle to share.
I was absolutely horrified to find out that I started getting an allergic reaction to the chips I ate, (as I have a serious allergy to seafood and told the waiter that they must not mix my food/fry my food in the same oil as the seafood, which I definitely suspect had happened) and I my skin started burning a while after I was done eating, after I had, had my coffee and waffle.
I ran straight to the pharmacy (not sure which one!) and got a box of anti - histamines and drank quite a few.
I am extremely disappointed in Spur and am disturbed by the fact that the waiter did not even listen to what I had said. I have a serious allergy to Seafood and it is a life threatening allergy and I have landed up in hospital before. I was still having allergic reactions by Friday last week. I even broke out in rashes in my neck etc.
I definitely will not be eating there again!
