I ate in Col'cacchio at lease 10-12 times in the last few months and always enjoyed it, now unfortunately it started deteriorating rapidly. I could not understand why they are half empty recently when all the other restaurants are buzzing till I learnt - about a week ago I was served a tasteless wine which did not taste anywhere near what it was supposed to be, I suspected that it was a blend of leftovers and sent it back.
Today I had lunch there - the service was shocking, while the place was half empty it took about 20 minutes to convince a waitress to visit the table. The food quality was poor - I always eat the same pizza, today there was heavy saving on ingredients and it was poorly baked.
The waitress was busy with her duties - talking to her friends and just refused to come to the table when called, I had to ask the manger for the bill, he brought it because the waitress could not be seen around but when it came to payment she showed up and started negotiating a tip which i did not want to give her. This was the first time in my life that i came across a waiter who demanded a tip.
For R156 for a plain pizza and 2 half glasses of wine you should give a better service.
