Ordered the platter of 10 queen prawns and linefish espetada.
Prawns were closed and not butterflied and VERY stale. They were also not deveined properly. They stuck to the shells and didn't peel off easily. Prawns are dipped in olive oil and grilled. They had no flavour and tasted DISGUSTING. Ocean basket may be commercial but do a much better job of preparing prawns. Ended up eating the rice.
The linefish on the linefish espetada (signature dish) had not been marinated properly and had no flavour.
Taking note of all the good reviews on tripadvisor, we ate at 34 south. This was a big mistake! The seafood is commercially obtained and not sourced freshly from local fisheries. Huge disappointment and waste of money.
Customers are also allowed to bring their dogs it with them and a lady was observed feeding her dog off one of the plates under the table. EXTREMELY unhygienic!
Will never EVER go back there!
