I held a business account at FNB Northcliff, which I did not use for a while, and it went into the red by something under R2000, and then was (apparently very, very, recently) shut down by FNB without anyone forewarning me. Now I need the account to receive an invoice payment - URGENTLY, and it suddenly doesn't exist. In the last hour I phoned the CONTACT US number on the FNB website, went through numerous automatic options, spoke to a consultant who told me to phone the Business Banking number (not the "CONTACT US" number!), and followed numerous prompts before speaking to someone who said that I should actually phone Vincent Hart of FNB Northcliff on 011 4467600. TRY IT FOR YOURSELF. PHONE FNB NORTHCLIFF, SELECTING "General Enquiries" (none of the others pertain to Business Banking, re-activation of accounts, or anything remotely relevant to my query).

While doing so, imagine that you had already spent the sort of time described above, PLUS you had gone through the exercise of phoning Northcliff TWICE!

By the way, when I got through, they said that they don't have a Vincent Hart! So, they put me through to "Yolandie". I held for precisely 46 rings before giving up. Try again??
