VERY POOR SERVICE

I recently received my new credit card via courier. I went to my Three Rivers Branch to have the card activated. I waited in the queue for almost 30 minutes and was then assured that the card was activated. A few days later I tried to use my card at Woolworths and Dischem and on both occasions it appeared on the screen that my card must first be activated... To my surprise I was charged a R6.50 fee for every time my card was declined. Why must I pay for something that is not my fault!?! I returned to the Three Rivers Branch once again to have my card activated and again I had to wait almost half an hour before someone attended to me.
Is this how it is going to be in this country - poor service everywhere and we must pay for it?!
