I phoned Absa last month asking what to bring when changing my surname they told me to bring new ID and marriage certificate. I went there with what they asked me to bring and they told me that they won't be able to process anything without proof of adress so I left without any assistance. I went back again today with what they requested I waited in line only to find out that they don't need the marriage certificate now they need the old and the new ID so I left without any assistance again as they want something that they did not ask for the last time whic is the old ID. I have gone there twice without any assistance and I have wasted my time and petrol for nothing.
