I requested information (on the absa website) on how to go about moving a debit order from my cheque account to my new FNB account. 1 Month later, I get a single line response from Absa stating "FNB to advise". I approach my amazing new bank FNB and with no issues agreed to assist me. After struggling to get hold of Absa, FNB finally advised me that ABSA has denied this request and that I have to ask Absa to move this debit order. Uhm, Okay, thats what I did. This is typical Absa quality service and one of the MAIN reasons I have moved (almost) all my business away from them to FNB. Guess I will have to go back to the dark ages where one actually has to go INTO a branch to get this sorted. Bad Form ABSA, Bad form.
