Their tactics to avoid retrenchment cove

This incident took place last week but i couldnt log it here. I phoned and spoke to a Eliza to hear how far my claim was, as i had retrenchment cover on my card. I was told this when harassed for payment.i was told this in the branch when i filled in forms. But after speaking to Eliza she said im not covered. WHY? cos i made a LATE payment last year, then it automatically gets cancelled. What utter *&%$@#! And to load it again i must call in, thats their policy. So how *&%$#@ isnt their life and funeral POLICY? not a no payment, a late payment.i never received mail saying it was cancelled, cos until NOW my mail still gets sent to wrong address even tho i rectified it the last time i collected a renewed card. So did Eliza offer ways for payment arrangements? NO!!! PATHETIC bank.then she asks ME why did the consultant not check to see i dont have cover. DO I WORK AT THE BANK? THATS HIS DUMB MISTAKE NOT MINE.When i told my sister, a sales assistant at stuttorfords to cancel her account with standard bank she unloaded with stories of people complaining at tills because their cards keep giving problems. I have banked with ALL banks, but this standard bank and FNB are the WORST!!!
