Worst Claims process and Handling for Durban

I had a power surge at home after cable in the area on 23th March. On 25th I reported it to Discovery and was given a claim number. Its now the 12th of April and nothing has been done.

They appoint assessors from Johannesburg, Which does not make sense. I have had one assessor come in on 9th of April but they going to send technician to evaluate the problems. Still no response from any technicians.

In the mean time I have not changed my lights fittings at home because I am waiting for an assessor so we are living in the dark in few of my rooms at home. My security camera system has been damaged and basically have not had peace of mind for the safety of my family.

I will not recomend anyone to take up house hold insurance with discovery. I am seriously thinking of changing my policy.

I expected allot more from Discovery because I give them alot of my business.
