On 15.3.13 I was notified by Standard Bank that funds were being debited to/withdrawn from my debit and credit cards which appeared to be .. As soon as I saw the SMS from the bank on the morning of the 15.3.13 I phoned them as requested and confirmed that the entries being queried were not mine. I was advised at that time that my both cards would be cancelled, a new credit card would be ordered for me, and that I should visit my local branch to order a replacement debit card, which I did on the morning of the 15.3.13. I was advised that the matter was being investigated, and that I would be contacted with 10 days with the outcome. Regrettably until this morning I had heard nothing further regarding the outcome of the banks investigation; only on visiting my local branch this morning and phoning through to the /investigation dept. myself did I learn that the matter is still outstanding, and that nothing really appears to have been done, and the consultant advised that he would escalate the matter. I am completely unimpressed that only after my follow up this morning will the matter be escalated - whatever that means! Perhaps I will hear something by next week?
