What is happening with my car?

After losing my job I was forced to return my car as I could no longer afford to keep it, I returned it on the 30th of November for a voluntary repossession.
2 days ago I received an SMS from absa stating that I owe R18000 on the car and if I do not pay it I would have a Default Judgement put on my name!
If you are going to put a default on my name why did I give in the car in the first place?? What happened to the voluntary repossession?
Instead ABSA is just wasting my time, in the 4 months that they have been holding my car I could have found a job in Johannesburg, instead I was forced to move to my retired parents in Steytlerville, a town where there are no jobs and where I will never be able to make the money to pay back the bank and possibly never be able to resurrect my career.
The entire system is counter intuitive! Take away my car so that I cant get a job so that I cant pay you then blacklist me so that no one will hire me (as ABSA very well knows it will not hire candidates with bad credit records as they are seen as criminals) so that I cant get a job and pay them their money!
What is wrong with the banking system?

Can someone please contact me regarding this!
