Our sectional title property is insured via these brokers. Before retrieving quotes I asked them to confirm what the excess was and It was confirmed as R1500.
After sourcing quotes and supplying them to Michael Brett and Associates, it tool them no less that *35* days to process this claim. Once it was finally settles, I was shocked to see that my excess was now R3500, some R2000 more than what was originally communicated by them.
When I queried it, I was told it was an "honest" mistake and I should simply cough up the additional R2000.
Liars, liars, liars. I don't care what the contract says, where's the accountability in business if you can just make mistakes like this and assume that it's okay, the customer must pay for it.
