I fail to understand how Std bank claiming to be a bank that is aimed at moving people forward can have staff members who are so incompetent. I was at the Montclair branch today and I wanted to deposit my coins cash to my credit card account.the lady who was a teller told me that the coins I had in each money bag exceeds the limit as specified outside the money bag but I can assure you, the money bag does not specify that those amounts are limits. Further to this she gave me 4 money bags to split the amount per those so called "limits". My understanding is that as long as the coins are not mixed (ie R2 all together and R5 all together for instance) When I realised this, the quee was just too long for me to stand on it again and I opted to use another bank where I have an account with and this was not an issue at all. Her excuse does not make any sense to me because when cash in the form of coins is deposited, a scale is used and the only thing required there is the unit coins (whether those are R1 or R2). Recommendation: Standard bank should train their staff to respect customers and should ensure that customers are not getting this kind of attitude from staff
