I am a client with Standard bank for over 15 years and I have a Prestige account. I have applied for a bond through Betterbond and Standard bank to purchace a town house which is off plan with 100% bond, Storks nest Albertsdal ext Alberton. The pre approved bond was the following terms: That the price of the unit is R667 000 and my repayments would be over 30 years with intrest rate of 9.39% which means I would pay over 2.00000 for the unit. I then phoned Standard bank to ask them for a better intrest rate and taking the bond over 20 years which they simply said I must sent a motivational letter through and they will look at it. The gentleman was very rude and simply brushed me off. I feel that I have been a good customer of Standard bank and my credit record is brilliant. Could hello peter please investigate why I am getting such bad service from Standard bank and bad attitude as this is unexceptable and would like to know if there is better trems that Standard bank could offer me.
