On 22 Feb 2013 my vehicle was, 2.7 D/C Hilux 2008, I have reported this to Outsurance #94534524 and the service and correspondence was very good, after the assesor came to see me and "interviewed" me for more than 2 hours, he then phoned back 2 days later telling me telephonically about his findings and outcome. My vehicle was insured for retail value and according to the assesor the value was only R130600, upon I gave him the Transunion no 600/36/345 = R187k, after a couple of minutes he phoned back stating that my vehicle was built in May 2008, I bought it from Adrag Agrico Ottosdal in Oct 2008 and then there was "face lift" were the grill and light was changed by Toyota. All along this vehicle was insured at a certain value and I was told that I was overcharged with some R51.month = R2900 for the period, this would be put on top of the R130600, reducing the shortfall that they have to pay! I received a sms on the 14th March saying that the claim was finalized, I phoned my advisor on the 15th requesting some feedback, I was told that I would be send some info? and are still waiting, looks like bending back is not so easy after all? Automark retail R187k for same model.
