About 3 weeks ago, a lady Nadia pitched up at my door, said I owed R5998.00 in debt to Woolworths for credit card debt. I told her I knew of money I owed Woolowrths Credit Card and that I had tried several times to contact Woolworths to setlle this credit card debt but I was told 4 years ago this debt was written off. Now 4 years later DMC pitches up at my door and are trying to force me to sign a document ackowledging debt of R6000.00 whereas my initial credit card debt with Woolworths amounted to R4000.00? He refuses to leave copies of the paperwork with me or to give me a telephone number for DMC Head office and is insistant I sign the document? I asked him why doesnt anyone of DMC contact me they have my number? No answer? This whole episode is just very shady... Can someone please advise??? Woolowrths cannot assist and nobody has been in contact with me for more that 5-6 years. I have not once received an email or even a letter advising me that they have sold the debt to DMC? This cannot be legal...
