I've been insured with MiWay for many years and on Jan 2013 i decided to buy a new car. I kept my MiWay insurance, however, my car details captured by the call centre agent was incorrect.9 days later, i was involved in a car accident, and I had to beg MiWay to tell me if my car was a write off or not.2 weeks later, after me phoning MiWay, i was told that my car was a write off and that my settlement amount would be R340 000. The car I purchased 9 days prior to this was a BMW 125i, MSport, Automatic, with all the bells and whistles. NOW YOU TELL ME IF THE CAR I PURCHASED IS EVEN SELLING FOR R340 000??? I've been told that my car has depreciated and the value is now R340 000. HOW ABSURD IS THAT??? I've requested my recorded calls from MiWay and almost a month later I have not received it. Niko Naidu has promised to send them to me and still have not received it. I provided MiWay, with the new cars VIN, Chasis Number, etc. however when I received the quote via email, they failed to print my insured amount of the quote? And before I knew it my telephone conversation with MiWay was taken as me accepting the quote. However no insureed amount was provided on the quote. Ombudsman here we come
