CIG do business with non FAIS compliant companies

In December 2011 we registered a claim with A and B Movers. Told us to deal directly with CIG in Durban. Its now a year and four months later and we still waiting for claim to be finalised. CIG say we do not have cover. A and B movers have given them written confirmation that our insurance was upgraded to All Risk.

We have been advised that A and B Movers are non-FAIS compliant. Which has left us with no alternative, but to report this matter to the FAIS Ombudsman for investigation as, we the customer have now been left completley exposed with no cover.
