I became a victim of identity in April 2012 and I have since been dealing with all the institutions where my identity was used to open illegal accounts and loans. I have managed to get all of the issues cleared with the other institutions except for Capitec where two personal loans were illegally opened in my name - I struggle to understand how this happened in the first place! I have been extremely patient over the past 10 months and have religiously followed up with my contact in the Forensics department; Musa Mndebele. I have reached a point now where I have had enough. Musa promises me that he will get it cleared up every time I talk to him and that he will provide me with a letter that I can supply to the credit agencies within 24 hours - it has now been 10 months! It still hasn't been cleared up and I have sent him numerous emails and we have discussed it telephonically on many occassions. Musa never gets back to me when I call and leave a message and has NOT ONCE replied to my emails.
