Bad service twice

I have a debit card on my husbands FNB account. Last week my card was declined at the shop when I had R1200.00 worth of groceries in my trolley. Embarrassing!! Thankfully I had my own (Standard Bank) credit card to use or I would have had to leave my shopping! FNB says the card was cancelled 3 days before this but they didn't even have the courtesy to notify me! The category is 'suspected activity' but there's no further explanation and there is no unusual activity on the account! Apparently they have restructured something and a lot of cards were cancelled, just like that!? When I asked them to reissue the card, they said they can't even order me one without my ID book (licence not acceptable). Reason? The person who set up my profile neglected to put my ID on the system (they did take a copy at the time). Now I have to take more time off work to go back and I do not have a working card till then! This is my 2nd issue with FNB. Recently my bag was and it took a week and three lengthy visits to the FNB branch with 30 minute waits to get a new card! Btw I got my Standard Bank card in my hand in less than 10 mins, total!
