After an horiffic initial encounter with the OUTsurance call centre agent with a bad attitude, a different person contacted me to 'try' and provide me with a quotation.
There's several things:
1. They do no have an excess waiver (which I currently have)
2. They cannot increase my personal liability to the amount that I currently have (they reach their maximum at R20M)
3. They cannot ensure my car for the value it is currently ensured for (R500K) less - "because their 'system' says that's the amount"
Post these points - they cannot do a quotation for me - thus... If we cannot beat your current insurance, we'll pay you R400 is not applicable. Their own 'rules' causes then to not be able to do a 'like-for-like' comparison.
I'm discussed by the OUTsurance service! Don't try to bark with the big dogs if you still... like a puppy! For the high end client - you cannot offer a 'like-for-like' service!
