I took a loan with capitec bank about two years ago. My instalments are R2000.00 a month. In 2011 went on pension and agree with the bank that i will pay R1000.00 a month as my monthly payment is only R2000.00.They told me that that agreement is for a year after that i need to make a new arrangement. I contacted their call centre and was taken from one consultant to another they could not help me and later i was referred back to the branch i took loan from. At the bank the consultant were not friendly and told me that they can only make arrangement for R1500.00 a month. I didn't have a choice and agreed but to my surprise they deducted R2000.00 and when i enquire they told me that i did not sign any document so they are not at fault. The treatment i received from capitec was very bad and i think they also took advantage as i am old.
