Incorrect debit

I opened a online share trading account in November 2013 but later changed my mind and closed it in December 2013. Now to my surprise i get an sms on my fone of a debit thats gone off my account for the online share trading account fees. I want to know why i was debited when i closed that account. To make it worse is when i call the online share trading department they tell me that my account is still open yet on my internet banking it states that i closed it!!!
