Incorrect billing of student check account

I am a student with a student silver check account at ABSA. A friend, who have the same account, noticed that her banking charges were excessive, i.e. charged at the normal silver check account rates. This happened around September 2013. As I am a student I do not have a lot of time to spend checking statements, but eventually got around to check that the same thing were not happening to me, it sure did. When I went to the bank they agreed that it was wrong, but their argument was that they could pay only one month's worth of incorrect bank charges back, quoting the last line of the statement: "State word as korrek aanvaar tensy navraag binne 30 dae gedoen word." I read the Private Bank universal T&C, regarding this 30 day period. It says that they are "... entitled to treat the bank statement as correct. You will then have to prove that the bank statement is not correct." Well, in the first place we are not disputing the statement, the statement CORRECTLY accounts that the WRONG charges were deducted! Secondly, if they conceded to pay one month's charges (as they did), then by MATHEMATICAL induction (my proof) it follows that the other months charges are also wrong. QED
