Poor car hire policy

My car was hail damaged and is due to go in to the panel beaters on Monday (3 Feb 2014).
When i phoned to confirm the procedure to arrange for car hire, towards the end of 2013, I was told that i needed to phone around two days before my car was due to go in (being today 30 Jan 2014).

At no point was it explained to me that the policy is that i can only hire a car once the panel beater has the parts at it's premises.

So now i sit in a situation where my car has to go in on Monday, the panel beater cannot tell me when the parts will be available, and i will have no car.

What is the point of having a car hire option when you can't hire a car when its needed?

If i had been fully informed about this silly policy sooner the panel beater does have an option to order the parts in advance.

Well at least now i know.

So glad to be doing things "Miway"
