Investec was once upon a time a leading private bank. Today they still charge the same high fees one would expect to pay for a private bank service, however, the bank (it's employees attitudes' and systems) leaves very very little to be desired. I logged a complaint with Olivia (who happens to be a team leader (or something important in the private bank), but instead of understanding and endeavouring to have the bureaucratic systems and processes reviewed to remain front of market, all I got was..."I will take it up with the relevant department, but I must warn you that perhaps our service offering may longer be able to meet your expectations." Another employee, after I had explained that the bank has fallen behind on its previously high service levels, due to bureaucracy and un-market related processes and fees, insisted: "I disagree, our service levels are the best! " My latest painful bond application experience (my fifth in total with the bank), together with the lack of empathy for the dispicable service experienced, received a robotic, bland, corporate response.
If I wanted that, I would pay for a cheaper account and deal with *3@5! bank! Stop living under a rock!
