I made arrangement to be paying my Debit orders that couldn't't go through when I lost my job in 2012. The arrangement was made with standard bank via their attorney. I started paying the money according to the arrangement untill 2013, I was left with just small amount to balance up and clear the account then.
On the 1st of March 2013, I went to Standard bank branch at Bhisho in Eastern Cape to deposit R150 into the account but I couldn't't, the cashier had already done everything on the Teller but she said the account has been written off and closed. I went to East London branch few days after, I was told the same thing. I still have the teller with me.
But to my surprise, I was called by standard bank attorney late last year, December and just yesterday again that I am owing R600 plus or so. This is after 9months that I was told the account has been closed, where does the R600 come from and why are they just telling me now after 9months.
I already told the attorney that I will take a very serious Legal Action against Standard bank if I am blacklisted because of this. This is a Day Light!!!
