I bought a vehicle in October and applied for Finance through Wesbank, being a platinum FNB client. Payment option for premiums was selected as via debit order. I contacted Wesbank last week to query as to why my premiums has never been deducted and was told (unsure who i spoke to) that it was a mistake from Wesbank and that they never loaded the financing. The dealership was only paid on Saturday on which I also received an sms congratulating me on my vehicle.
This morning I received an sms advising of the outstanding amount for 3 months and threatended that should I not make payment by the end of the day that legal recourse would be sought against me which will affect my Credit record.
This is UNACCEPTABLE that I am treated/ threatened in such a way - advising Wesbank that they never deducted premiums for which they agreed was a mistake from their side and now being send a message like this. Did they backdate the financing now to when it should have been done in the first plave and now place me as a non payer (who signed for debit orders) with arrear payments which affects my credit records??!!! I expect this to be cleared and corrected and proof of my clean record send.
