Being charged interest within the advertised 57 days free interest period...
My balance due for account 5239-0920-5337-9011 on the 26th November (as per Novembers statement) was R15 818, 49 and I paid R16 027, 34 on 27th November. I then paid again R11 022, 36 on the 22nd December (which was current balance due in full) i.e. i didn't owe anything just after I made the payment. I been transacting since the 22nd December which is well within the "up to 57 days interest free" advertised by ABSA yet I've just received my statement on the 25th Jan and I've been charged R123.05 interest.
Please advise as to why I've been charged this interest?
